St. Lucie County Asphalt Supplier for Paving and Site Contractors

If you need an asphalt supplier for St. Lucie County work, Engineered Asphalt Materials (EAM) produces hot mix, Superpave and RAP-blended mixes at our Gencor plant in Vero Beach. St. Lucie County is part of our regular service area, covering Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie and the communities around them.

Supplying a fast-growing county

St. Lucie County keeps adding homes, commercial centers and the roads that connect them. That means a steady stream of subdivision streets, parking fields, commercial pads and resurfacing work, much of it on schedules set by developers and public agencies. Contractors need a plant that can produce the right mix, load it quickly and keep quality steady from the first truck to the last.

EAM was built in Vero Beach to serve that demand. Our Gencor equipment is known for clean operation and precise mix control, and quality control happens right at the plant, with mixes sampled and tested during production and temperatures monitored batch to batch.

What we produce for St. Lucie jobs

Our standard lineup covers each layer of a typical pavement section. Specs are confirmed per project, so check availability with the plant before specifying.

Common St. Lucie County applications

Most of what we see from the county falls into a few groups, and each points toward a typical mix choice:

Not sure which applies? Tell us the use and traffic and our team will recommend the mix type, grade and tonnage.

Built for heat, rain and seasonal traffic

St. Lucie pavement takes a beating from long, hot summers, heavy rain and the traffic bump that comes every winter season. A mix that performs in a cooler, drier climate can rut or ravel here. That is why binder grade matters as much as gradation. Superpave mixes pair the aggregate structure with a performance-graded binder chosen for the expected traffic and climate, and polymer-modified PG 76-22 adds elasticity and rut resistance where loads are concentrated.

Drainage matters too. Friction course and porous mixes help move water off or through the surface, which can reduce standing water on roads and lots that see daily storms through the wet season. Talk to us early if your design calls for either.

How St. Lucie crews get their mix

Our plant is at 500 2nd St SW, Vero Beach, FL 32962. Pickup runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, first come, first served, with weekend and after-hours loading by request. Fast load times and FDOT Certified scales keep the line moving and the tickets accurate.

Crews without their own trucks can arrange delivery through local trucking partners, and we can connect you with preferred haulers. Call ahead so we can schedule production and have your mix hot and ready. Lead time depends on the mix and our production schedule, so the earlier you call, the easier it is to lock in your window.

Bid support and quantities

Bidding a municipal job or a large site package in the county? Our technical support team can help you settle quantities, mix types and timing before you submit. For a quick estimate on your own, the tonnage calculator turns length, width and thickness into tons using a standard density you can adjust for your mix.

When a project needs documentation, our quality program includes records that support contractor, developer and municipal requirements.
